Bloomberg Businessweek – 1 hour agoMicrosoft CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Monday that the company’s IT department is not going anywhere.
“It’s not going away.
We’re not going to leave,” Zuckerberg told the New York Times in a speech at the annual IT conference in New York.
He said the company has been improving its IT operations, including outsourcing IT roles, and is working with IT vendors to address the issue.
The company is also looking to expand its network security efforts.
Microsoft is under fire for a lack of transparency and for its reliance on technology from the tech giants like Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple.
Zuckerberg is in the midst of a year-long rebranding effort that includes bringing back Windows, which was sold off in 2008.
Microsoft will also roll out Windows 8 and Windows 10 later this year.
Zuckerberg said the focus for the company is on building a better IT system.
