NEW YORK — A business school is the best way to become a professional in a fast-growing field, experts say.
The best way for a student to learn a trade or craft, or to find a job is to attend a school, said Dan Breen, associate professor of business administration at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
“The idea is to get out of the bubble,” Breen said.
Business school graduates often find their careers in the corporate world are the easiest, said Breen.
But a business administration degree also offers an alternative to attending college and often allows students to stay in school longer, he said.
Business administration courses include business administration and accounting, accounting, finance, marketing, public relations, and marketing.
There are about 1,500 business schools in the United States and Canada, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
More than two-thirds of U.K. students graduate with a business degree, while about half of French and German students do so, according the Institute for Applied Management.
Breen said he hopes students who take business administration will have the skills they need to get into the workforce, but he says a business education can help a student become a successful manager.
If you want to know how to make a successful career move, check out my book: What to Do Now: The Business Plan That Can Change Your Life, Breen wrote in an e-mail.
He also has a book, What to do Now: Getting into the Market.
It’s available online and is available in bookstores.
