Business owners say they are scared by Wuku’s move to become a public transit system

WUJA, Guam — Wuku business owners and others who have been complaining about the arrival of a new public transit agency here say they’re not happy about the move.

The new Wuku Transit Authority will operate bus lines, commuter rail, bus and taxi services.

It is the first transit system in the island nation to be officially designated as a public entity.

The board of Wuku Mayor and CEO Tawanda C. Rios is working with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration to create the new agency.
