Business administration will receive $500 million in federal stimulus funds as part the administration’s efforts to bring new business to America, the Trump administration announced Wednesday.
The $1 billion Business Administration program was announced in December in a $1 trillion spending package that included the construction of two new airports, a new Navy shipyard, a pipeline, and a border wall.
It’s a large portion of the $1,900 billion that Congress and the president agreed to in March, but the Commerce Department said that it had received just $250 million in stimulus funds.
The program has also helped businesses expand their presence and become more competitive in the United States.
The Department of Commerce said it has seen more than 300,000 new jobs in the business administration sector in the last three years.
The Business Administration is a small, independent group that represents businesses from across the country.
The group also works with the government and academia to improve federal government policy.
